COVA designed a stockpiling and shiploading facility for Onslow Salt which encompassed the full project cycle from conceptual investigation and budget costings to detail design, site supervision and commissioning.

The stockpile stacker was developed to handle 2,000 tonnes per hour of salt and designed with two fixed booms with a 45 metre reach and a discharge height of 25 metres.

Built on a fixed platform located 1.3 kilometres from shore, the design features hydraulic slewing and luffing with a 30 metre outreach as well as a cyclone tie-down facility.
