Project scope
COVA's site energy audit extended into a major mechanical upgrade: removing two 1,200 kW electric boilers and replacing them with two multifunction heating and cooling four-pipe heat recovery chillers, demolishing unlagged site heating water reticulation, refurbishing both main air handlers and adding toilet exhaust heat recovery, with all works staged to maintain service to the five-storey hospital.
The scope extended to a new ground floor HVAC system, made possible by a concurrent level 1 ward upgrade requiring demolition of the ceiling below. COVA has since delivered a number of smaller works, most recently new HVAC to the level 3 ward.
