Mt Mawson Alpine Shelter
Project scope
COVA delivered all building services for the fully off-grid visitor shelter on Mt Mawson, one of the highest building locations in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.
The development includes a first aid station and ski patrol facilities, a ticketing office, and a public shelter with toilets, giving walkers and skiers a safe, warm base for the snow fields, alpine tarns and peaks of Mount Field National Park, and the volunteers of the Southern Tasmania Ski Association a purpose-built base from which to support skiers.
