Project scope

COVA were not the original design engineers on this project, however were engaged to complete a detailed energy review of the off-grid building services systems (including pool heating, air conditioning, domestic hot water, lighting and controls) serving the various eco-pods located within the Freycinet National Park, following challenges after occupancy with battery capacity, gas usage and generator operation. 

Our engagement extended to include specification of a new BMS to track and manage energy usage and ultimately throughout our engagement we were able to identify opportunities for reduction of energy usage by more than 40% and drastically improve site services resilience and reliability.

As a result of this work COVA have become Tas Walking Co.'s Engineering Partners for all new developments nationally including recent projects at Kangaroo Island and Uluru.
