COVA delivered the iconic Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) store at Sydney International Airport. For the luxury goods supplier, fitout budget was not a limitation! Marble walls, marble columns and marble tiles so the margin for error miniscule. No mechanical services were be visible and everything had to align: sprinkler heads with tile junctions, linear slots with strip lights. COVA needed to work collaboratively between the YSL architect, YSL Hong Kong design team, and the Sydney International Airport Authorities stringent requirements It is also worth nothing that YSL have their own internal "Golden Rules" to meet sustainability standards based on the LEED rating system.
