Dandenong Organic Composting Facility
Project scope
COVA, WTT and Sacyr provided all engineering services and the construction and commissioning Of the biological technology package for a new fully enclosed organic waste processing facility for eight municipal councils in Dandenong. The facility was designed to process 120,000 tonnes Of organics waste per annum and the fully enclosed design enables the capture and treatment of all odours. The facility incorporated a receival area, composting tunnels, maturation hall, final screening and storage area. COVA also assisted Sacyr with the environmental and approvals process. along with technical support services during construction.
