COVA has a long-standing history of successful projects working with JAWS Architects and Parks Tasmania. This proud tradition continues with our ongoing works on Tasmania’s Next Iconic Walk Project.
The walk provides access to the spectacular landscape of the Tyndall Range on the West Coast of Tasmania.
The walk is being designed to accommodate a maximum capacity of around 9,000 visitors per year.
To keep the experience wild and sustainable, the walk is being limited to daily departures of around 30 people per day in roofed accommodation and 20 per day camping.
Works designed by COVA include base building Hydraulic services, Fire services, HVAC Plant, ventilation, air conditioning, data and general power, and lighting just a few
The project is required to be developed across a series of stages, incorporating decanting works and strategic project timing, to ensure minimal disruption to the wilderness sites.
Critical COVA team members for this building services project included Tim King (Electrical & Lighting Designer), Phil Raine (Hydraulic Designer) and Sam Lohrey (Mechanical Engineer).
