Wallan East Primary Community Centre
Project scope
COVA is delivering all building services for the community centre of more than $20m AUD, engaged jointly under design and construct. The centre is designed as a comprehensive hub for early childhood and family services, meeting the needs of the rapidly growing Mitchell Shire population.
Key features include sessional kindergarten programs with wrap-around services, maternal and child health services, primary health care and allied health support, plus a multipurpose community space for adult learning and community engagement. A 130 kW solar system and 180 kW battery let the centre operate largely off-grid for much of the year.
Located alongside the soon-to-be-established Wallan East Primary School, the centre will provide integrated service delivery for local families, with completion anticipated by January 2027.
