Councils, clubs and developers appoint COVA for the engineering and commercial management behind stadiums, training centres, aquatic centres and pavilions.

We design lighting, heating, ventilation and pool plant around how each facility is used: match days, training sessions, community programmes and events.

Stadiums, courts and elite training

COVA is engaged for all building services on Devonport's $58m AUD multi-sport stadium: eight netball and two basketball outdoor courts, four indoor community courts, two show courts, and the function centre, kitchen, and player and official amenities.

At Wilkinsons Point, COVA delivered mechanical, electrical and ESD engineering for the $49m AUD Glenorchy multi-sport facility, including the NBL elite training facility for the Jack Jumpers. COVA was also engaged for building services engineering on the Jack Jumpers NBL High Performance Centre: two training courts, a gym, and hot and cold hydrotherapy.

For the $9m AUD redevelopment of KG5 Oval, home of the Glenorchy District Football Club, COVA delivered all building services for the pavilion, function and event spaces, allied health services and a hydrotherapy pool.

Pools, pavilions and sports lighting

The $8m AUD Oatlands Aquatic Centre includes the first integrated pool air and water heating systems in Tasmania, with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineering by COVA. COVA also delivered all building services for the $4m AUD Launceston Tennis Centre pavilion.

Sports lighting runs from the original light pole design at Bellerive Oval (Blundstone Arena) to the feasibility, environmental assessment and design of the $500k AUD LED lighting upgrade at Newtown Rugby Park.

Sports precincts in Cambodia

COVA provides commercial management for the Samdech Hun Sen Krokor Sports Centre: 25 hectares of community sporting facilities, including a 3,600-seat stadium. COVA also provided commercial management for WorldBridge Sport Village, developed beside Morodok Techo Stadium ahead of Cambodia hosting the 2023 SEA Games.
