Factories & Warehouses

Manufacturers and logistics operators appoint COVA for the cost management, project management and engineering behind new factories, plants and warehouses.

Most of the work is greenfield: cost planning and commercial control from first estimate to completion, with project and construction management where the owner needs it.

Manufacturing plants in Thailand

COVA has provided quantity surveying for greenfield facilities in Thailand for manufacturers including B.Braun, Toshiba Lighting Component, Lear Corporation, Tomy, Shindengen, Nippon Super Precision, Dainichi Color, Vision Ease and The Gemopolis Factory. For Mori Seiki's THB 200m greenfield facility, that meant cost planning and commercial control through to completion.

On larger plants the role extends to delivery. For FMC BioPolymer, a THB 2.45b project, COVA provided project and contract management; for StarBUT, project and construction management alongside quantity surveying.

Heavy industry

COVA provided project and construction management and quantity surveying for the Pertama FerroAlloys plant in Malaysia, a US$900m greenfield industrial facility, now complete. Cost and programme control ran from the owner's side through construction to completion.

Warehouses and logistics

In Thailand, COVA provided project and construction management and quantity surveying for the THB 137m JST New Warehouse Facility, and quantity surveying for ANI Logistics. In Melbourne, COVA delivered building services for the redevelopment of an existing Australia Post warehouse at Tullamarine into a parcel sorting facility.
