Executive Director - Australia | Head of Engineering

Simon leads COVA’s Australian business and heads the Engineering service line, with more than 28 years’ experience across the built environment in electrical contracting, construction site delivery and building services consultancy. His remit spans multidisciplinary building services - electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire and accessibility - across retail, commercial, health, education and government projects, supported by teams in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney and Southeast Asia.

Simon began his career in electrical contracting before moving into site management with Hansen Yuncken and consultancy with SEMF. He joined COVA in 2013 and progressed through Senior Project Manager, Head of Project Management and Country Leader - Australia to his current national leadership role.

His portfolio spans national retail programmes for Kmart, Target, Myer, Officeworks, Costco, Uniqlo and David Jones, including new store, downsize and renewal works across Australia and New Zealand, alongside commercial, education, health and mixed-use developments. He brings commercial judgement and technical depth to every engagement, from national account leadership and design team direction to navigating complex business requirements.
