Kerr Thomson

General Manager - Asia | Head of Advisory

Kerr has more than 30 years of construction industry experience across Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines. He established COVA Group’s Cambodia office in 2010, growing it into a 40-strong multidisciplinary team before taking on responsibility for expanding the Group’s wider Asian presence.

His experience spans the commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality and industrial sectors. Combining a strong commercial background with the ability to integrate diverse engineering disciplines, project management, specialist advisory and feasibility services, he focuses on delivering practical solutions aligned with clients’ budgets and objectives.

A particular passion throughout his career has been developing local talent in emerging markets: creating opportunities for people to develop, take on greater responsibility and ultimately “grow wings and fly”. He is also Chairman of the Lighthouse Club Cambodia, which supports underprivileged students through construction-related degrees and provides financial aid to those affected by accidents in the construction industry.

Kerr was appointed General Manager - Asia in January 2025 and is based in Bangkok, Thailand.
