Project scope

Battery Point, TAS 7004

Situated between Salamanca Place and St David's Park in the Hobart waterfront district, Salamanca Mews is a luxury residential development which provides luxurious self contained suites just a stones throw away from some of Hobart's best attractions. The three low-level blocks at Salamanca Mews play host to townhouses and penthouse apartments and owe their popularity to views of the parkland, mountain and harbour as well as a close proximity to the city centre. The development also features a common plaza, health club facilities, basement parking and key card security access. One of the sites most attractive assets, the swimming pool, is a powerful draw card for prospective tenants. COVA fitted the swimming pool with an innovative de-humidifier and a feature that addresses water and heating requirements while controlling humidity levels. Other services provided included a range of mechanical engineering services across the site, including centralised ventilation systems for the en-suite, kitchen exhaust and car park. We also designed and installed the developments air conditioning system to maximise ventilation and airflow throughout the busy health club. COVA engineered each of these systems in line with residential noise restrictions.
