A global leader in the manufacture of nutritious, balanced and healthy food for healthy cats and dogs, Nestle Purina PetCare produces approximately 200,000 tonnes of pet food products annually for brands such as Supercoat, Beneful and Pro Plan at the Blayney, NSW plant. COVA were engaged to project manage and design major upgrades to the Nestle Purina Petcare facility, which included installation of world class equipment and a 5,400 square metre warehouse which placed the Blayney site at the forefront of global innovation within the industry. Other services provided included engineering design for upgrades to process lines, packaging and palletising services, factory ventilation and trade waste. COVA were also involved with the mechanical installation of an acidified meat slurry and an integration project which involved the successful installation of a kibble transfer system from the Clextral to Process. The upgrade to the Nestle Purina PetCare facility allowed for the additional production of 100,000 tonnes of pet food annually. The Blayney plant is now one of the most technologically advanced facilities of its type in the world, with the capability and flexibility to create and meet domestic demand for premium pet products.
