COVA again undertook all design aspects excluding SCADA. GrainCorp undertook construction Management with COVA providing technical support. Work included was: Construction of a new 1400 tpdse (tonnes per day seed equivalent) solvent extraction plant All services and utilities for the new solvent extraction plant. Upgrade of the existing preparation plant to 1400 tpd capacity, including: • New 2200 m3 intake seed silo • Demolition of the old boiler house and construction of a new cooker building in its place • Mechanical, process and equipment design • Electrical design (PLC & SCADA programming by others) • Equipment re-designed, upgraded and or replaced with new included; - Seed cleaner - Seed pre-heater - Rotary seed cooker - Flakers - Pre-presses - Cake cooler - Hammer mills - Dust collectors & fans - Bio filter Construction of new oil degumming plant at the rear of the existing refinery building, including: • Mechanical and piping layout • Electrical design (PLC & SCADA programming by others) • Foundations and steelwork • New cooling tower • Wet commissioning was completed in early 2021 • Practical Completion was June 2021.
