Jessica Montero Munoz is not only one of COVA’s superstar Project Administrators, but also a Student Ambassador for the Study Tasmania, International Student Ambassador Program.

The program launched in 2019, carefully selecting Ambassadors for their exceptional leadership potential. The aim of the program is to empower the students to showcase what Tasmania has to offer as an education destination, as well as enhance other international students’ experiences in the State.

As student ambassadors, they run a project during their tenure for Study Tasmania. Every year the government explores different topics and given the global pandemic, this year the focus was around mindfulness and wellbeing. Jess and her fellow ambassadors put forward a proposal to hold a wellness “Connect” event, exploring ways to improve overall mental health, whilst participating in meditation & a painting workshop.

Jess comments, “The Tasmanian Government Student Ambassador program has already given me the opportunity to collaborate with the education industry and be part of student community growth. There is nothing more rewarding for me than seeing how when you dream big anything is possible and how this land of opportunities allows us to dance around. The rewards in this beautiful island are endless and full of personal and professional development!”

Congratulations on being recognised as an exceptional young leader, Jess. We are excited to watch how you continue to advance your career path—onward and upward!
