COVA were engaged to undertake the detail documentation of the mechanical and electrical services for the proposed Hobart Youth Foyer. The project is to deliver a purpose-built facility on an existing site, to service the disadvantaged youth, through the provision of self-contained accommodation.
The project will consist of several common spaces, a gym area, basketball courts, and a rooftop kitchen facility, to enable education and ongoing development of youth skill sets at the facility.
COVA undertook the design and documentation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire services for the project in Revit 3D.
The project presented the design team with several challenges due to having to work around the existing-working building, without the ability for shut down or disruption of services.
