Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre

Congratulations to Cumulus Studio for winning 3 awards for the TAS Parks & Wildlife Service Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre in the 2021 Tasmanian Architecture Awards:

1. The Alan C Walker Award for Public Architecture
2. The Dirk Bold Award for Urban Design
3. Colorbond Award for Steel Architecture

COVA were originally engaged for specialist Mechanical design of the Hydronic Floor Heating, Heat Recovery Air Conditioning and Indoor Air Quality Management and Building Control Systems, all documented in 3D to a high level of detail given the complex geometry and structure of the building.

Throughout the project, we were also able to provide a Glazing & Facade assessment and a JV3 Performance Solution, as well as a full fit-out of all services of the Visitor Centre Café.

COVA have also been working with Cumulus Studio on the Dove Lake Viewing Shelter which is currently under construction.
